About Us
This blog was founded in 2019 by Himanshu Shembekar and Arvind Sankar, then third-year students at National Law University Odisha, united by a shared vision to raise awareness about contemporary legal issues and promote informed discourse within and beyond the legal community.

What began as a student-led initiative has since grown steadily in both popularity and reach, drawing contributors and readers from across India and abroad. While the founding members have gone on to pursue their professional journeys—as associates at leading law firms and independent legal practitioners—the founding vision of the blog remains alive and thriving.

Our mission is to provide a platform for thoughtful engagement with national and international legal developments, and to disseminate legal knowledge in a manner that is accessible, insightful, and inclusive. We aim to cultivate a forum for intellectual dialogue, where students, scholars, practitioners, and the wider public can share perspectives and contribute meaningfully to conversations on law and policy.

Himanshu Shembekar
Founder and Editor
Himanshu Shembekar is an arguing counsel and independent legal practitioner, with expertise in handling disputes and providing advisory services across various areas of law, including Commercial Law, Arbitration Law, Insurance Law, Insolvency Law, and Consumer Law. He has successfully represented clients in complex matters involving substantial and nuanced questions of law before the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), National Company Law Tribunals (NCLT), National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC), District Courts, and Arbitral Tribunals.

Deeply passionate about legal developments, Himanshu has consistently kept himself updated with evolving jurisprudence and trending topics in the legal sphere. Driven by a desire to share insights and foster discussion within the legal fraternity, he started this blog in the third year of law school, fulfilling his long-standing aspiration to create a platform for dialogue and diverse perspectives.
Beyond his legal pursuits, Himanshu is also an avid basketball player and dancer, embracing both intellectual and creative dimensions in his personal and professional life.
Arvind Sankar

Arvind is a patent associate at Khurana and Khurana. Arvind completed his BBA LLB from National Law University Odisha and then proceeded to obtain his BSc in data science from IIT Madras. He is primarily deals with patent matters before patent offices at India, US, and EU, among other countries, among other areas of IP. He is also actively involved in AI policy and legal automation.
